A manufacturer. Carbomer, acrylates copolymer and PVP are produced at our own plant in the Modern Industrial Park of Jinzhai, Anhui, which covers more than 68,000 m² and was designed to GMP standards. Commercial enquiries are handled from our Guangzhou business centre.
What is the difference between a carbomer and an acrylates copolymer?
Both are cross-linked polyacrylate polymers. A carbomer is a homopolymer of acrylic acid, thickened by neutralisation and best in low-electrolyte systems. An acrylates copolymer carries a comonomer, so it tolerates electrolyte and surfactant better and is often self-wetting. The choice is usually decided by how much salt and surfactant your formula carries.
Which grades can be used in pharmaceutical and oral care applications?
NM-Carbomer 934P, 974P, 970G and 971P are produced as excipients and comply with USP/NF, ChP, Ph. Eur., BP, JPE and IP monographs. They are used as tablet binders, suspension stabilisers, extended-release polymers, mucoadhesive aids, and in toothpaste and denture fixatives. NM-PVP K30 is used as a binder and film former.
Is your carbomer Halal certified?
Yes. Carbomer grades hold Halal certification issued by BPJPH of the Republic of Indonesia, certificate number ID00410038716211225. The certificate covers CARBOMER, NM-CARBOMER, NEWMAN CARBOMER, CARBOXYPOLYMETHYLENE, CARBOXYVINYL POLYMER, CARBOMER HOMOPOLYMER (TYPE A, B, C) and CARBOMER INTERPOLYMER (TYPE A, B, C).
How is the product packed, and how much fits in one container?
Powder grades are packed 20 kg per carton with a PE liner. Carton size is 56 × 37.5 × 42.5 cm, 25 cartons per pallet, 11 pallets per 20' GP, giving 5,500 kg per 20' container. The liquid grade NM-Carbomer SF-1 is supplied in 200 kg PE drums.
Can you supply a liquid version instead of powder?
Yes. NM-Carbomer SF-1, Aqua 10, Aqua 20 and Aqua 25 are liquid dispersions. They require no neutralisation, produce no dust, and can be metered into the batch at any stage, including cool-down.
Do you also produce PVP?
Yes. We produce vinylpyrrolidone homopolymers NM-PVP K30 and K90 as powders, K30 also as a 30% solution and K90 as a 20% solution, and the vinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymers PVP/VA 64 and PVP/VA 73 in powder and 50% aqueous solution.
What documentation comes with a shipment?
A material safety data sheet accompanies every order. A batch-specific certificate of analysis, the ISO certificates, and the REACH registration certificate for acrylic acid are available on request. Our MSDS is referenced on the product packaging itself, under the handling instructions.
