CAB-3471U is based on polyethylene resin, adding antioxidant, lubricant, etc, processed by mixing and extruding to shape of particles. It can be used as the sheathing material of optical cable, communication cable, power cable.

Process: PROCESSING TECHNIQUES
CAB-3471U can be processed on the common cable fabrication equipment furnished with PVC or PE screw types. A single flight metering screw with feed, transition and metering sections is recommended according to the practical situation. Based on tests data from processing on Φ90mm Extruder, screw of length-diameter ratio of 25:1, the following typical conditions are recommended as a starting point. However, it may be necessary to optimize conditions based on different extruder, screw and tooling.

CAB-3471U is supplied in pellet form, 25Kg or 650Kg aluminum/plastic laminated film packing. We recommend good housekeeping throughout your facility. Hopper drying at 65-85℃ is recommended to remove moisture before use. The maintain period is six months.
We suggest during the production of large-scale cable with amour structure, please pay attention to the damage caused by the steel tape to the cable sheath, do not take evacuation and add non-woven fabric wrapping layer, the cooling water tank must be long enough to ensure that the cable is fully cooled and finalized. The processing temperature should be lower as much as possible when the plasticization is ensured. It is recommended to pour the cable after 24 hours to verify whether there is any abnormality.
