Babyyum (宝宝馋了) Showcases at the 12th National Nutrition Week: Bringing the Nutritious Family Table Concept to Babies' Daily Meals

Created on 05.28
The 12th National Nutrition Week, led and hosted by the Chinese Nutrition Society, officially kicked off in Beijing on May 16. Representatives from member units of the National Nutrition and Health Steering Committee and the National Food and Nutrition Advisory Committee attended the launching event. Participants also included representatives from relevant academic institutions, societies and associations, news media, the general public and food enterprises.
With the theme “Nutritious Family Table, Healthy Families”, this year’s event refocuses public attention on scientific nutrition in three daily meals of ordinary households. For infants aged 0 to 3 in particular, every bite of complementary food on the family table is not just about satisfying hunger, but also directly affects energy density, nutritional balance and long-term health.

At the launching ceremony and on-site exhibition, Babyyum (宝宝馋了), a brand specializing in infant complementary foods, was invited to attend the opening event. Its product lineup themed on the “Nutritious Family Table” drew wide attention from numerous nutrition experts and consumers. At the brand booth, many industry experts carefully examined product formulas and standard designs. A large number of young parents tried the products on site and showed great interest in their convenience and well-matched nutrition.
Why Do Family Dining Tables Set Exceptionally Strict Standards for Infant Complementary Foods?
Infants have small stomach capacity and rapid growth and development, requiring far higher energy density and nutrient density than adults. When interpreting the concept of the "Nutritious Family Table", the Chinese Nutrition Society pointed out that family diets should feature diverse foods and reasonable collocation, and provide differentiated nutritional support for people of different age groups.
For babies who are just starting to take complementary foods, insufficient intake of energy, high-quality protein, iron, zinc, vitamins and other nutrients will easily lead to "hidden hunger" and hinder normal growth. This means infant complementary foods can never be a simple substitute for homemade meals. Instead, they require scientifically formulated nutrition and quantifiable quality assurance.
How Does Babyyum (宝宝馋了) Interpret the "Nutritious Family Table" with Its Products?
At the National Nutrition Week venue, Babyyum (宝宝馋了) has translated the concept of the "Nutritious Family Table" into a full range of practical complementary food products, with its formulated congee and noodle series as the highlight. Different from ordinary fruit purees and rice pastes, these products fully meet the nutritional needs of infants for a single meal in terms of energy density, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals.

Take the baby instant congee and baby instant noodles as an example. Each serving is developed strictly according to infants' monthly age. Adopting space-grade freeze-drying technology to lock in freshness, every product combines 6 to 14 kinds of ingredients, including grains, vegetables and high-quality animal protein. One single serving makes a complete meal, which meets the energy and protein requirements specified in the Group Standard for Infant Complementary Meals.
The products are fortified with multiple essential nutrients, with no extra white granulated sugar, monosodium glutamate, flavorings or artificial pigments added. While ensuring high nutrient density, they bring no extra burden to babies' bodies. What’s more, the products can be fully prepared within 30 seconds, enabling dual-income families and parents going out to easily serve nutritious meals for their babies anytime.

All these product designs are backed by China’s first Group Standard for Infant Complementary Meals with quantifiable indicators. Jointly compiled and formulated by the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, the National Institute for Nutrition and Health of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Zhejiang University and Babyyum (宝宝馋了), this standard has for the first time set clear quantitative requirements on the energy density, content of protein, fat, vitamins and minerals of formulated complementary foods, and standardized the labeling of applicable age ranges. It has provided practical product guidelines to implement the "Nutritious Family Table" concept for infants.
Meanwhile, the newly released national standard Cereal-based Complementary Foods for Infants in March has further lowered the energy contribution ratio of added sugars, and adjusted vitamin C from an optional ingredient to an essential ingredient to improve iron absorption rate. The formulas of Babyyum (宝宝馋了) products have long been optimized in line with these updated requirements.
From the macro concept of a nutritious family table to the precise micro-nutrition in a single pack of complementary food, scientific infant feeding has become increasingly standardized and clear. An expert on site commented: "When professional standards are broken down into specific nutritional data for every meal, and products are ready-to-eat with controllable nutrition, the 'Nutritious Family Table' can truly enter thousands of households."
The 12th National Nutrition Week ran until May 22. During the event, Babyyum (宝宝馋了) continued to release popular science content covering age-specific nutrition for infants and energy density of complementary foods in various forms, helping more families achieve balanced nutrition during the first 1,000 days of life for infants at the dining table.
