The lattice matches YBaCuO and other high-temperature superconducting films, with a low dielectric constant and low microwave loss, which is why it is the standard substrate for microwave and superconducting devices. It has a high melting point and good hardness, so it survives high temperature growth and processing. Optical transparency is good in the ultraviolet, so it also serves UV optoelectronic work. The dielectric constant is moderate, which opens microelectronics and RF applications.
Standard sizes 10×3 to 20×20 mm and Ø15 to Ø3", thickness 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm, orientation <100>, <110> or <111>, single or double side polished to Ra ≤ 5 Å, orientation tolerance ±0.5°. Bevelled wafers with 1° to 45° inclination on request. Packed in a Class 100 clean bag inside a Class 1000 clean room.
Minimum order 10 pcs. Tell us the film material and the deposition temperature; we will confirm whether LaAlO3 or a twin-free alternative suits the process better.
