The <001> plane shows a moderate lattice mismatch with YBCO, in the range of 2.5% to 3.5%, which is the working window most films want. Because the thermal expansion coefficient is lower than that of other perovskite crystals, films can be deposited at lower temperature, the lattice mismatch improves as a result and the stress in the film is reduced. There is no twinning or phase transition on cooling, so the surface stays as polished.
Standard sizes 10×3 to 20×20 mm and Ø15, Ø20, Ø1", Ø2" and Ø2.6", thickness 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm, orientation <001>, single or double side polished to Ra ≤ 5 Å, orientation accuracy ±0.5°, edge orientation 2° or better. Bevelled wafers with 1° to 45° inclination on request. Packed in a Class 100 clean bag inside a Class 1000 clean room.
Minimum order 10 pcs. Send the film material, the orientation and the size; bevelled wafers are quoted from the drawing.
