Title: Jinxunhuan Bamboo Rafts Light Up the Gongshui River Night Tour in Xuan'en, Hubei — Featured by Xinhua News Agency
Date: July 30, 2026
On the evening of July 29, 2026, a spectacular scene unfolded on the Gongshui River in Xuan'en County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province: a 100-meter-long formation of illuminated bamboo rafts glided across the water like a glowing dragon, while traditional da tie hua (molten iron fireworks) lit up the night sky. The moment was captured by a Xinhua News Agency photojournalist using drone photography and published in a special photo report titled "Xuan'en, Hubei: A Riverside Night Aglow." The bamboo rafts carrying visitors on the Gongshui River were manufactured by Guilin Jinxunhuan Bamboo Raft Co., Ltd.

A 100-Meter "Water Dragon" Dazzles the Gongshui River

This summer, Xuan'en County launched the "Romantic Xuan'en Summer Night" series of night tourism activities. Visitors board bamboo rafts to enjoy light shows, riverside architecture, and live cultural performances — an immersive experience described by China News Service as "boating on emerald waves, wandering through a living painting."
Xinhua's aerial photographs show dozens of bamboo rafts joined end-to-end, each topped with a golden umbrella and warm onboard lighting, winding in a long curve across the river. The rafts pass beneath the Wenlan Bridge and alongside the illuminated Mota Tower, creating one of China's most visually striking night cruise experiences.
On July 18, the 2026 Overseas Alumni Children's "Hubei Discovery Tour" summer camp also visited Xuan'en to experience the branded "Dragon Tour on Gongshui" night cruise, further highlighting the project's international appeal.
