HCR'S DJ700 ERECTOR COMPLETES 72-SPAN PROJECT 30 DAYS EARLY ON SHANGHAI AIRPORT LINK
China's first new double-track municipal railway co-operated with national railways. Connects Hongqiao Station (Minhang) to Shanghai East Station (Pudong). Total length: 68.6km. Will reduce travel time between two airports from 90 to 40 minutes (opening end-2024). Construction started June 2019.

Section: 72 simply supported spans (2226m total)

▶Challenges: Construction within Shanghai-Kunming Railway protection zone, high safety risks
▶Schedule: Completed in 106 days (30 days ahead of plan)
