Analysis and Prospects of the Generator and Generator Set Industry in 2014

At the end of 2011, the generator and generator set manufacturing industry achieved a sales revenue of 290.069 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 47.63% in sales revenue over the past five years.

According to the analysis of Forward Industry Research Institute, while the manufacturing industry of generators and generator sets is developing rapidly, the pace of product structure adjustment in the industry will also accelerate. The market share of thermal power units will decrease, while the market share of hydropower, nuclear power, and wind power units will correspondingly increase. In addition, future generator sets will also develop towards energy conservation, environmental protection, lightweighting, miniaturization, and aesthetics, and products with these properties will have a larger market.
