Q2: What is the lifespan of bolt aluminum electrolytic capacitors?
A2: Service life depends on working temperature and ripple current. Under rated operating conditions, our capacitors can reach 5,000 hours to 12,000 hours. Higher ambient temperature will shorten capacitor service life, following the 10°C rule.

A3: Typical failure modes include capacitance degradation, increased ESR, electrolyte dry-out, bulging, electrolyte leakage and safety vent rupture. Overvoltage, overheat and excessive ripple current are the main causes.

A4: No. Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized. Positive and negative terminals must be connected correctly. Reverse connection will cause leakage, bulging or even explosion.
