Stainless steel surface processing grade, characteristics, and applications

Stainless steel possesses unique strength, high wear resistance, superior corrosion resistance, and is not prone to rusting. The specific surface processing grades of stainless steel are as follows:

Original surface: NO.1 surface is treated with heat and acid washing after hot rolling. It is generally used for cold-rolled materials, industrial tanks, chemical industrial equipment, etc., with a thickness ranging from 2.0mm to 8.0mm.

Blunt surface: NO.2D is cold-rolled and then subjected to heat treatment and acid washing. Its material is soft and has a silver-white luster on the surface. It is used for deep stamping processing, such as automotive components and water pipes.

Foggy surface: NO.2B is cold-rolled and then subjected to heat treatment, acid washing, and precision rolling to achieve a moderately bright surface. Due to its smooth surface, it is easy to grind again, making the surface brighter and widely used, such as tableware, building materials, etc. After adopting surface treatment to improve mechanical properties, it almost meets all applications.

Coarse sand NO.3 is a product ground using a 100-120 grit grinding belt. Has good glossiness and discontinuous coarse lines. Used for building interior and exterior decoration materials, electrical products, kitchen equipment, etc.

Fine sand: NO.4 is a product ground using a grinding belt with a particle size of 150-180. Has better glossiness, discontinuous coarse lines, and finer stripes than NO.3. Used for baths, interior and exterior decoration materials of buildings, electrical products, kitchen equipment, and food equipment.

#The product is ground using a 320 grit grinding belt. It has better glossiness, discontinuous coarse lines, and finer stripes than NO.4. It is used for baths, interior and exterior decoration materials of buildings, electrical products, kitchen equipment, and food equipment.

HAIRLINE: HL NO.4 is a product with a grinding pattern generated by continuous grinding with an appropriate particle size polishing sand belt (subdivision numbers 150-320). It is mainly used for architectural decoration, elevators, building doors, panels, etc.

Bright surface: The product obtained by subjecting BA to bright annealing after cold rolling and leveling. The surface has excellent glossiness and high reflectivity, resembling a mirror-like surface. It is used for household appliances, mirrors, kitchen equipment, decorative materials, etc.
