Product Introduction
A deep-draw, thin-wall die-cast oil pan. The sump and surrounding ribs are formed in one casting, and the flange is CNC-machined flat so it seals against the block with sealant alone. Bosses for the drain plug and oil level sensor are cast into the side wall. Aluminum dissipates heat better than a stamped steel pan, which helps keep oil temperature down. It suits passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with sump depth and outline adapted to the engine. The part is inspected for porosity before machining, since the oil chamber must stay leak-free. Deep sections are simulated to control filling, avoiding trapped air and shrinkage so the oil chamber stays sealed.
