Die-Cast Aluminum Blower Volute Cover

The upper half of a blower volute, cast as a single piece with a circular inlet and a square outlet flange. Clamped to the lower housing it completes the air path, and the cast-in mounting feet with counterbored holes spread screw load evenly to limit air leakage at the joint. The black powder coating resists dirt and corrosion, which suits commercial and industrial ventilation equipment. Because cover and housing are produced from the same die family, mating faces and hole positions stay matched from batch to batch. Wall thickness and ribbing are tuned to damp vibration without adding mass. Cover and lower housing are machined in the same batch, so the joint stays flat and air leakage stays low.
