Product Introduction
One of the most complex castings in a vehicle driveline. The internal gear cavity, bearing seats and external mounting ears are formed in a single shot, and the shaft bores are machined in one fixture setup so concentricity and center distances hold. Dense ribbing on the outer wall balances stiffness against weight, which supports fuel economy targets. The housing is used on passenger-car manual transmissions and on reducer housings for electric drive systems, with internal layout adapted to your gear train. Wall sections, machining allowance and sealing faces are reviewed with you during DFM before the die is cut. Housing development runs in two stages, flow simulation then sample validation, before volume production is released.
