Die-Cast High-Density Heat Sink

A long die-cast heat sink with a dense array of thin fins on a solid base. The channels between fins run straight through, which suits forced-air or natural convection cooling. The base is CNC-milled flat for contact with power devices or thermal interface material, and mounting posts at both ends fix the sink to a chassis or housing. It is used for power modules, inverters and LED drivers. Fin height, pitch and base size can be tuned to your thermal resistance target.
