3. Can you provide a through bill of lading?
We can sign a multimodal transport contract with you and provide a through bill of lading, which will facilitate customs clearance and tax payment for the client. The contract will clearly specify the "trucking segment + air transport segment + final delivery," including transit time, the free storage period at transit airports (usually 3–5 days), and contingency plans for flight delays or cancellations, thereby defining the boundaries of responsibility.
4. Can you handle special cargo?
Cargo transported via Truck-Air must strictly comply with China’s export regulations.
Truck-Air transportation usually adopts the "single declaration, single inspection" model (e.g., truck flight services), where consistency of documents is critical for customs clearance.
Unified description and codes: The description, HS code, and details (pieces, weight, dimensions) on the truck waybill, the master air waybill (MAWB), and the customs declaration must be completely consistent. Air transport is particularly strict about cargo descriptions—for example, "garments" cannot be listed as "textiles," and "phone cases" must specify the material. Inconsistencies may lead to holds during airport security or customs inspections.
Special cargo qualifications: Products containing batteries (including built-in batteries) must provide a UN38.3 test report and corresponding labels; liquids or powders require an MSDS; branded goods need authorization documents. These materials must be prepared before the truck picks up the cargo; otherwise, the goods may be rejected at the airport, resulting in high return fees.
5. What if the cargo packaging is damaged during Truck-Air transport?
Cargo packaging: Upgrade to air transport standards
Packaging designed for land transport is not suitable for direct air shipment and is highly susceptible to damage during air handling.
Enhanced strength: Air cargo handling can be rough, and changes in air pressure during flight must be considered. Outer packaging must use five-layer corrugated cardboard boxes. Fragile items require corner protectors and bubble column filling, while heavy cargo must be palletized.
Clear labeling: Each carton must be labeled with shipping marks (destination, item number) and fragile/this-way-up indicators. For cross-border e-commerce shipments, FBA labels must be securely attached (it is recommended to use two layers of tape to prevent wear).
