Product Introduction
Alocasia ‘Portora’ Aurea | In-Vitro Tissue Culture Plantlet
A rare variegated form of the upright Portora hybrid (A. odora × A. portei lineage): huge, scalloped, leathery leaves carried on thick upright petioles — overlaid with luminous aurea variegation, from pale lemon to butter-gold sectors tracing the veins and margins.
Our TC program delivers color reliably through:
- High-aurea mother-line selection — not random field divisions
- Stable chimeric TC line — consistent golden expression across batches
- Pre-pack screening — visible aurea sectors before shipping
- Clean lab origin — agar-grown, fungus/pest-free, true-to-type
- Botanical: Alocasia ‘Portora’ Aurea (hybrid selection)
- Propagation: Tissue culture (in vitro)
- Foliage: Large ruffled green blades + golden-yellow/caramel aurea marbling
- Habit: Upright architectural clumper; mature leaves 60 cm+
- Supply: Flask plantlet / deflasked liner (OEM pack available)
- Acclimation: 70–90% RH → step down; bright indirect light
- Temp / RH: 20–28°C, 60–80%
- Export: Phytosanitary cert, CO on request
Aurea is chimeric (carotenoid-based gold, not white). Pattern varies leaf to leaf; juvenile leaves show less, mature flushes intensify.
