1 Top Graphic Overlay
Function: Provides protection and displays the printed graphics, symbols, and text. It can also have textures or coatings for tactile feedback.
2 Spacer Layer
Function: Separates the upper and lower circuits, allowing the switch to operate without creating false signals during normal usage.
3 Circuit Layer
Function: Contains the conductive traces that complete the electrical circuit when the switch is pressed.
4 Adhesive Layer
Function: Ensures durability and longevity by securely attaching the membrane switch to the application surface.
5 Bottom Layer (optional)
Function: Provides additional support and durability, especially in high-use applications.
6 Additional Features
Tactile Domes: Enhance user experience by providing physical feedback when a button is pressed. These can be placed between the graphic overlay and the circuit layer.
