10. Rigging

10.1 Overview

The hotel exclusively provides rigging points on the ceiling or roof for suspending banners, audio-visual systems, and stage lighting systems.

The hotel will provide rigging services for the following situations:

 a. Stage overhead structures installed by the contractor designated by the organizer 

 b. Banners or steel wires used in the booth to support overhead structures 

The organizer and its designated contractor are not allowed to hang or attach any type or form of construction loads to the roof or building of this hotel. 

This hotel is responsible for fixing or installing items on all hotel structures or buildings, and will charge the organizer and/or its designated contractor for such services. This includes the provision of floor screws inside and outside the event venue, additional installation of structural steel, fixing cables, steel wires, clamps or rigging equipment used for any purpose on building structures. 

All rigging works must comply with the regulations of this hotel. 

With the permission of this hotel, secondary suspension points must be attached to the primary suspension points. 

10.2 Equipment Positioning

All brought-in equipment must be placed in accordance with the approved plans, and an equipment list must be submitted to the hotel 21 days before the first day of event setup.

All equipment suspended by the organizer on secondary rigging points must be secured with safety locks and fastened with safety steel cables.

10.3 Submission of Drawings, Rigging Plans, and Related Data

1. For rigging works to be carried out by contractors, a service order along with the following data must be submitted to the hotel for review twenty-one (21) calendar days before the start of the venue rental period:

 (a) Structural/truss layout plans, which must show all dimensions

 (b) Structural/truss elevation views, which must show all dimensions

 (c) Truss and dead load design plans (including weight data), including:

• Rigging points and their load capacities (shown in kilograms per rigging point)

• Rigging point and structure positions indicated on the exhibition hall/ballroom floor plan

• Position of the structure relative to the exhibition hall and/or banquet hall floor plan, indicating the required rigging points 

 (d) List of rigging equipment, along with their valid safety certificates 

Note: The safety certificate for rigging equipment must be issued by a certified engineer and must be valid for one (1) year between the date of certificate issuance and the end of the contract period.

2. After the rigging facilities are set up, the measurement report from the certified engineer must be submitted to the hotel for review.

10.4 Liability

1. The hotel shall not be responsible for the operation of systems and equipment brought in by the organizer; the hotel reserves the right to stop or cancel the relevant works if the works carried out by the organizer's designated contractor endanger the safety of the organizer or involve improper operation of equipment.

2. The organizer is responsible for notifying all contractors of the following:

 (a) Contractors must not move or relocate the rigging points based on the positions submitted by the organizer and approved by the hotel.

 (b) Contractors are strictly prohibited from using rigging points to directly suspend aluminum trusses and/or structures without appropriate rigging equipment and other safety accessories (e.g., slings, steel wires, hooks, etc.).

 (c) Contractors are fully responsible for using appropriate rigging equipment and accessories (e.g., slings, steel wires, hooks, etc.) capable of safely supporting the aluminum trusses and/or suspended structures.

 (d) If contractors are found to violate any safety standards and/or fail to comply with the requirements of Clause 10.3 of this manual regarding rigging works, the hotel has the right to immediately stop the contractor's works for safety reasons.
