15. Security
15.1 Overview
1. This hotel provides general security services within the hotel.
2. This hotel does not provide private security services for meetings and exhibition events.
3. For all exhibition events, or as required by the nature of the event at this hotel, the organizer must arrange for an external licensed security company (event security) to provide security services.
4. Event security must hold a security license recognized by the Macau government.
5. During the rental period, including setup and dismantling days, ensure that there are enough security personnel stationed at the event venue, each cargo door, and any entrances and exits.
6. If the organizer needs to use non-contractual areas (e.g., exhibition hall parking lot, loading and unloading areas, ground marking for booths, hanging banners, etc.) during and outside the rental period, approval from this hotel is required. This hotel has the right to require the organizer to arrange sufficient security personnel to oversee these non-contractual areas.
7. Security personnel are not allowed to carry weapons.
8. Security personnel must hold a Macau ID or a foreign employee identification card (commonly known as a 'blue card'), and a security personnel work permit issued by the Macau Public Security Police.
15.2 Organizer Responsibilities
1. The organizer must submit a floor plan to the hotel for approval, and the floor plan must show the conference security counter; the conference security counter must be set up at the entrance of the event venue or in another conspicuous location.
2. The organizer must submit a copy of the conference security's security license to the hotel for record-keeping.
3. The organizer must submit a copy of the first aider's first aid certificate to the hotel for record-keeping.
15.3 Conference Security Responsibilities
1. The conference security has the following responsibilities:
• Supervising and controlling the entry and exit of people and vehicles at the entrances and exits of the rented venue.
• During the setup and dismantling periods, check whether the vehicles entering hold a (valid) permit.
• If the exhibition hall is used as a parking lot for events, supervise the safety of vehicles within the exhibition hall.
• Supervise the loading and unloading process to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Contact person for incidents occurring within the rental area: bodily injury or discomfort, theft, disputes, illegal activities, and damage.
• Fire safety inspector within the rental area
2. The conference security must submit a list of security personnel assigned to be stationed at the event; the list must include the security personnel's names, Macau ID or Blue Card numbers, and security guard work permit numbers.
3. The conference security must arrange at least one first aider holding a recognized first aid certification to be stationed at the event.
4. If the injured person requests an ambulance or police assistance, or after the injured person's condition has been assessed by a first aider holding a recognized first aid certification, the conference security must contact the relevant units to arrange ambulance or police services.
5. The conference security must inform the hotel's security department and the project manager of the nature of the accident, the location where the accident occurred, and the situation regarding the arranged ambulance (if applicable).
6. If necessary, after the injured person's condition has been assessed by a first aider holding a recognized first aid certification, that first aider must provide first aid services to the injured person.
7. If an accident occurs, within 24 hours of the accident, the conference security must submit an accident report to the hotel's security department and the project manager.
15.4 Hotel Responsibilities
1. Before the event begins, the hotel's security department will provide at least one of the following forms of support to the conference security.
• A map showing the ambulance assembly point, and emergency telephone numbers
• A briefing provided by the hotel's security department
2. The hotel's security department will proceed to the incident location at the venue to support the conference security and assist in transporting the injured to the ambulance.
3. If necessary, the hotel's security department will accompany the conference security to assist the police in investigating the incident.
4. If necessary, the hotel's security department will contact the organizer and the conference security for more information regarding the incident.
15.5 Security Deployment Plan
The organizer must submit the security deployment plan to the hotel one month before the first day of event setup. The security deployment plan must include the following items:
• Detailed information of the security company
• A floor plan of the event venue showing the positions of all security personnel
• Duty hours for each security position
15.6 Lost Property
All property found in this hotel must be handed over to the hotel's project manager or security personnel.
15.7 Personal Property
All individuals must bear the risk for goods and other property brought into this hotel. This hotel will not be responsible for managing any goods or other property and will not be liable for theft, loss, or damage of such goods or other property.
