16. Insurance
16.1 Overview
Depending on the nature of the event, the Hotel reserves the right to require the Organizer to purchase appropriate insurance for the event. The relevant policy must cover the event venue for the entire duration of the event.
The Organizer must strictly comply with the Hotel's insurance requirements. The Organizer may be required to purchase insurance coverage including, but not limited to, the following:
a) Employees' Compensation Insurance — This insurance is mandatory under Macau law.
b) Public Liability Insurance — If this insurance is required, it generally covers liability for property damage and bodily injury or death, with a minimum limit of HKD/MOP ten million per occurrence.
c) Liquor Liability Insurance — If alcoholic beverages are served at the event for any reason, the Organizer must purchase liquor liability insurance.
All policies must be issued by an insurance company registered in Macau.
16.2 Event Insurance
The Hotel provides one-stop event insurance services. If the Organizer needs to purchase event insurance, they may inquire with the Hotel's Project Manager for details.
16.3 Coverage
If the event requires insurance, the Organizer must list the name of the institution provided by the Hotel as an "additional insured and indemnified party."
16.4 Certificate of Insurance and Policy
Copies of the certificate of insurance and policy must be submitted to the Hotel 14 days before the first day of event setup.
If the Hotel does not receive the required certificate of insurance and policy, the Organizer will be prohibited from setting up the event.
