4. Cleaning Services 

4.1 General Cleaning 

The hotel provides comprehensive cleaning services (charged based on the nature of the event), including the following: 

• Machine scrubbing of exhibition hall floors 

• Sweeping and vacuuming corridors, standard booths, meeting rooms, and reception areas 

• Emptying trash bins in booths and meeting rooms 

• Cleaning standard booth tabletops (excluding exhibits) 

• Waste management 

• Waste recycling and statistics 

4.2 Garbage Removal 

Meeting: 

During the contract period, the hotel will carry out comprehensive cleaning within the contracted scope. The hotel reserves the right to charge cleaning service fees based on on-site conditions, including but not limited to the removal of large quantities of paper, cardboard boxes, plastic items, banner stands, and confetti.

Exhibition: 

Exhibition (including those held in exhibition halls or meeting rooms) refers to: the entire venue rental area or a portion of the venue allocated to participating units to display, showcase, or promote their products and services; and these rented spaces are used for standard booth setups and booth areas with the following configurations, including but not limited to background display panels, advertising boards, counters and cabinets, movable background panels, movable advertising boards, etc. 

Guidelines for waste reduction and waste classification at MICE events 

To comply with Administrative Regulation No. 22/2020 "Construction Material Waste Management System" effective from January 17, 2021, event stakeholders should establish a waste management and recycling system, which should include waste classification, collection arrangements, temporary storage areas, and material recycling/disposal, etc. Through the reuse, classification, and recycling of waste, appropriate reduction of waste decorative materials, and proper waste pre-treatment, the aim is to reduce waste generated during conferences and exhibitions.

For MICE waste collection at this hotel, event stakeholders, including organizers, official contractors, and exhibitors, should be responsible for removing any metal, glass, chemicals, plastic boxes, carpets, flammable items, and large items or materials generated during the event. 

On the other hand, this hotel collects "general waste" of a combustible nature from MICE events, such as lunch boxes, beverage crates, food waste, wood, fabric, fiber bags, foam plastics, and other waste that can be transported to the Macau Incineration Plant for treatment (note: waste diameter must not exceed 100 mm, and length must not exceed 3 meters). 

4.3 Cleaning fees and fines 

After collecting general waste, the hotel will place the waste in designated waste dumpsters (waste hoppers). When each dumpster is full, the hotel will verify with the organizer's authorized personnel, then transport it to the landfill. The number of dumpsters will be notified to the organizer after the event ends, and charges will be based on the quantity. 

Additional cleaning fees may apply for removing oil spills, paint, plastic tape or stickers, and oil or paint deposited on floors, walls, and any surfaces.

If government fines or disposal fees are incurred due to improper waste disposal at this hotel, the organizer will be responsible for all related penalties.
