8. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Services
8.1 Overview
The Hotel will endeavor to accommodate requests for Information and Communications Technology services. If any installation does not conform to standard industry practices and government regulations, the Hotel will not provide Information and Communications Technology services.
To ensure safety and quality, the Hotel's staff and/or its designated contractors are the exclusive providers of Information and Communications Technology services.
Unless permitted by the Hotel, any connection to data and communications access points is prohibited.
8.2 Telephone
Upon receipt of a request for service booking, the Hotel or its designated contractors will provide telephone services through the Hotel's network, including providing telephones, fax machines, and the supply and connection of telephone lines for the Organizer. The total number of telephone lines booked should correspond to the number of telephones/fax machines booked. All communication charges will be borne by the party booking the telephone services.
8.3 Mobile Phones
GSM mobile phones can be used within this hotel. The hotel or its designated contractor will provide mobile phone-related services and SIM card sales services.
8.4 Internet and Data Communications
After receiving a booking request, the hotel or its designated contractors will provide and connect the Internet at approved locations within the hotel. All Internet connections are provided through the hotel's network and the hotel's Internet service provider. Each logged-in Internet service can only be used on the same computer. Additional IP addresses and Ethernet connections require additional computers. Users shall not share network bandwidth directly or indirectly. Bandwidth (upload or download) speed will be affected by the number of concurrent users. If the service is found to be abused or used for purposes other than those stated in the application, the hotel reserves the right to stop providing ICT services.
8.5 数据网络
If the Organizer wishes to set up a data network, they must provide the Hotel with details of the data network for approval. An approved network may only be connected to the Hotel's network and should use only the network service provider designated by the Hotel.
8.6 Wireless Local Area Network (Wireless LAN)
The Hotel is equipped with Wireless LAN infrastructure. Unless approved by the Hotel, no wireless data systems may be installed within the Hotel premises.
8.7 Other Information and Communications Technology Services
When an application is received, the Hotel or its designated contractors will endeavor to provide other suitable Information and Communications Technology services at a charge.
8.8 Liability
The Hotel's Information and Communications Technology services are supported by local telecommunications operators. Although the Hotel assists with the coordination and arrangement of Information and Communications Technology services for events, the telecommunications operator is solely responsible for the telecommunications services, their operation, and equipment. The Hotel is not directly liable for network failures caused by the telecommunications operator. However, the Hotel will promptly notify the telecommunications operator to resolve technical issues; when the telecommunications service is restored, the Hotel will inform the Organizer. During the period of failure, the Hotel's Information and Communications Technology services may be suspended for emergency repairs.
If the telecommunications failure occurs due to circumstances beyond the Hotel's immediate control, the Company will assess the situation and provide compensation as appropriate.
Computer and information security and virus protection are the responsibilities of users of information and communication technology services.
The hotel shall not be held responsible in the following circumstances.
• If computers or other systems connected to the hotel's network are infected by online viruses or suffer security breaches after connecting to the Internet.
• Any loss or damage (including data loss) caused by groups or other persons who book ICT services connecting directly or indirectly to the hotel's network, configuring and installing services.
When the organizer's equipment or software causes service failures or affects the services of other organizers, the hotel reserves the right to shut down or disconnect such equipment or software without prior notice until the organizer rectifies the relevant issues. If the organizer is unable to use part of the services due to the above reasons, the hotel will not make any refund.
Groups booking ICT services:
a) When using services provided by the hotel or its designated contractors, they shall be solely responsible for login identities, passwords, other authentication and security devices.
b) They shall not copy, distribute, publish, send or use any content that is not in the public domain, except for persons who own such content or hold appropriate usage rights.
c) When using the services, they shall not send or distribute any content that is obscene, indecent, inflammatory, offensive, defamatory or threatening.
d) Unless agreed by the hotel and its designated contractors, or any third-party organizations, they shall not invade, intrude, access or use data or content within the servers of the hotel and its designated contractors, or the websites or servers of any third-party organizations.
e) They shall adopt antivirus or firewall tools or settings to protect their systems from computer virus attacks.
8.9 Restrictions
All interfaces and connection works connecting to the hotel's data and communications infrastructure, and all modifications, adjustments and updates to infrastructure hardware and software, may only be carried out by the hotel and its designated contractors, unless consent is obtained from the hotel.
Access to electrical boxes, patch panels and wiring racks in any area connected to the hotel's ICT service equipment, connection points, switches, etc., is only permitted with the authorization of hotel staff.
The electrical cabinets, underground trunking boxes, and telecommunication rooms within the meeting rooms and other technical areas (such as the MDF room and IDF rooms) are not part of the event venue; only authorized Hotel staff and their designated contractors may access and use the aforementioned conduits, trenches, and technical areas for the installation of main power supply cables, conduits, and Information and Communications Technology services.
8.10 Access Permission
Unless permitted by the Hotel, only Hotel staff and their designated contractors may access the electrical switch rooms or other service areas.
