[Properties and application]
PEG(400)monoester has excellent smoothing, emulsifying property and anti-static property; it has excellent emulsifying, wetting and dispersing capacity; PEG(600)monoester can be dissolved in water and is soluble in ethyl alcohol, glycerol and other organic solvent. It has excellent emulsifying, wetting, dispersing and solubilizing effect. PEG(800) monoester has excellent smoothing, emulsifying and intermiscibility. It is soluble in ordinary organic solvent.
PEG(400) monoester is used as a grease dewaxing agent and additive for cooling and lubricating agents in the metal industry; as a softening agent and anti-static agent in the textile industry; as a component of chemical fiber oiling agents. PEG(600) monoester is used as an emulsifier, wetting agent, and solubilizing agent in the pharmaceutical industry; for the manufacturing of miscible oils, creams, salves, and detergents; for the manufacturing of creams and shampoos. PEG(800) monoester is used as a smoothing agent and anti-static agent in the textile industry.
