Copper foil tape is a thin strip of pure copper foil — typically 0.04 mm to 0.08 mm thick — coated with an adhesive, usually a conductive acrylic. Copper's combination of excellent electrical conductivity and shielding performance makes it the go-to material for managing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and grounding.

Electronics generate electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI), which can degrade performance or cause devices to fail compliance testing. Copper foil tape solves this in two ways:
