The standard route usually includes 1 night in Xi’an and 2 nights in Pingyao or the nearby area.

If you prefer a more modern hotel base, the route can be adjusted to use Taiyuan or another suitable city with revised transport arrangements.

Some Shanxi heritage sites are outside city centers and are more practical by private vehicle. Train tickets in China require passport information. Final train times, seat class, stations, luggage arrangements, and vehicle sections will be confirmed after booking details are provided.

Day 4 drop-off can usually be arranged at Taiyuan airport, Taiyuan railway station, Pingyao station, downtown hotels, or another confirmed final drop-off point. Return to Xi’an or onward transfer to another city can be arranged with a revised quote.
