What locks will lock up security?

Created on 2024.12.29
With the progress of society, the application of science and technology continues to deepen in our lives, followed by the rise of intelligent products. Intelligent products, with their advanced innovative power, have brought a lot of convenience to our lives. Intelligent door locks are also gradually being recognized by the public. The types of door locks are also gradually upgrading from mechanical door locks to smart locks, fingerprint locks, and 3D face locks. What locks can ensure security? Is a security door a 'gentleman's defense'? What should be paid attention to when using smart door locks now?
Anti-theft door to prevent what?
Anti-theft door door plate material mainly iron, aluminium alloy, stainless steel, copper and so on. Door panels made of aluminium alloy or stainless steel are relatively more robust in structure. However, China Daily-use Hardware Committee members have said that the material of the door plate is not the key factor in determining the quality of the security door, the thickness of the door plate is the key. According to China's anti-theft door manufacturing standards, the thickness of the outer plate can not be less than 0.8 mm.
A qualified anti-theft door should not only prevent violent demolition but also resist technical lock picking. These two aspects complement each other and cannot be prioritized over the other. For instance, if you aim to enhance an anti-burglary door's resistance to violent demolition, it might easily become too thick. Overly heavy security doors are inconvenient to use, requiring more effort to open and close, and over time, they can lead to issues like door sagging.
Currently, anti-theft systems are evolving towards a three-dimensional approach. Mechanical protection alone is insufficient to meet current anti-theft demands. Security doors should integrate mechanical protection with electronic anti-theft technology.
Are intelligent locks safer than mechanical locks?
China's mechanical locks are divided into A, B, and C levels. Level A locks have the weakest anti-theft performance, while Level C locks have the strongest. The anti-theft performance of mechanical locks is determined by their resistance to sawing, vibration, prying, pulling, impact, and technological opening. Members of the Expert Committee of the China Door and Window Hardware Committee stated that there is no such thing as an unopenable lock in the world; anti-theft locks merely increase the difficulty and prolong the time required for malicious entry. When choosing mechanical anti-theft locks, it is advisable to opt for those with a higher anti-theft rating.
