Is a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) required to do business with Dapitem?

An NDA is not necessary to do business with Protolabs. When uploading your CAD model to our site, we employ state-of-the-art encryption and anything you upload is protected by confidentiality obligations. For more information, contact your account representative.

Due to the proprietary and competitive nature of projects we work on, we do not disclose a listing of our customers. However, we do regularly receive permission to share customer success stories.

What data protection measures are in place?

Dapitem implements data protection measures consistent with NIST 800-171. Our customer upload portal is secured with industry-standard measures such as encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), file validation, a web application firewall (WAF), and strict access control. We actively monitor for threats and conduct regular penetration tests to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of customer uploads are maintained at all times.

How do you respond to any incidents?

We have a dedicated security team, 24/7 monitoring and alerting, anomaly detection, and a documented Incident Response process.

How do you manage potential security vulnerabilities?

We have a documented vulnerability program to manage new and existing vulnerabilities, and we conduct regular scans of our environment. Penetration tests are also conducted regularly by a third party. Remediation is based on criticality. We utilize various tools within our environment to help manage vulnerabilities across our entire footprint, such as an Attack Surface Management (ASM) tool, code analysis, and Extended Detection and Response (XDR).
