Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my Lithium Deep Cycle battery last?
There are several factors that affect the life of a battery. Weather, temperature, recharge cycles, depth of discharge (DOD), discharge current, charging current, charging method, vibration and duration of static use can all have dramatic effects on battery life. A properly maintained Lithium Deep Cycle Battery should last roughly three times as long as lead-acid battery used in similar conditions. Life expectancy is typically 10+ years, and our batteries are covered by an 5 year warranty.
Will my onboard charger work?
If your charger puts out 14.2 to 14.6 volts to the battery when charging on the AGM setting it will work. Do not use chargers with “desulfation” mode or equalizer mode that charges above 15V.
Can I charge my lithium battery with a solar panel?
Yes, but you need to make sure the open voltage of the solar panel is below 18V for a 12V battery. It is best if your solar panel has a voltage regulator to stop charging at 14.4V or (LiFePO4) setting of 14.6V.
What are LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) Batteries?
Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are a type of lithium battery that provide several advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries based on LiCoO2 chemistry. LiFePO4 batteries provide much higher specific capacity, superior thermal and chemical stability, enhance safety, improve cost performance, enhanced charge and discharge rates, enhanced cycle life and come in a compact, lightweight package. LiFePO4 batteries an offer a cycle life of over 2,000 charge cycles!
All of the Ionic Lithium batteries that LithiumHub sells are LiFePO4 batteries.
How do I maximize the life span of my lithium deep cycle battery?
Battery life for a lithium battery can be enhanced by not discharging the battery to 1Ah capacity or BMS lower voltage cut-off settings. Discharging down to BMS lower voltage cut-off settings can quickly decrease the life of the battery. Instead, we advise discharging down to 20% capacity remaining then re-charging the battery.
FAQ
Warranty Coverage
We offer a 5-year warranty on LiFePO4 batteries (excluding 12V 8Ah–50Ah and Like New Battery)
Warranty Exclusions
Misuse or Improper Handling: Damage caused by misuse, mishandling, or improper installation (including physical damage, overcharging, or using the battery outside its specified parameters) is not covered.
Accidental Damage: Any damage resulting from accidents, such as dropping, crushing, or exposure to extreme temperatures or environments, is not covered.
Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications: Any repairs or modifications made by someone other than an authorized technician or our support team will void the warranty.
Normal Wear and Tear: While LiFePO4 batteries have a long lifespan, gradual degradation of battery capacity or performance over time due to normal use is not covered under warranty.
Third-Party Products: Any third-party accessories or components that are used with our batteries are not covered under this warranty.
Warranty Claim Process
Contact Customer Support: Reach out to our customer support team at [email protected] or (+86)755 3457 3648. Provide your order number, a description of the issue, and any relevant photos or videos.
Troubleshooting: Our support team may ask you to perform basic troubleshooting steps to ensure the issue is related to the battery and not another component. This could include testing the battery in different devices or checking connections.
Return Authorization: If we determine that the issue is covered under warranty, we will issue a email or message and provide instructions on how to return the defective battery.
Inspection and Processing: Once the battery is returned to us, it will be inspected to verify the issue. If it is determined to be a defect covered under warranty, we will either replace the battery or provide a refund, depending on the circumstances.
Replacement or Refund: If the warranty claim is approved, you will receive a replacement unit or a full refund, depending on stock availability and the terms of the warranty.

Shipping Restrictions
Battery Regulations: LiFePO4 batteries are classified as “Class 9 hazardous materials” under the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines. As a result, special precautions are taken during packaging and shipping to ensure safety.
State Restrictions: Certain states may have specific shipping restrictions on batteries. If your order is impacted by such restrictions, we will notify you and provide alternative shipping solutions if available.
International Shipping: We currently only ship LiFePO4 batteries within the United States. International shipments are not available at this time due to complex international regulations on shipping hazardous materials.
