Principle of spinning disk confocal

The core idea of spinning disk confocal is to change from single-point serial scanning to multi-point parallel synchronous scanning, with thousands of pinholes simultaneously collecting signals, significantly improving imaging speed and enabling capture of rapid dynamic biological events. The device adopts a dual-disk design, with the lens disk and the pinhole disk corresponding one-to-one and rotating synchronously: the lens disk converges and supplements the excitation light, ensuring excitation efficiency and image quality. The high-speed spinning disk imaging mode shortens the laser's dwell time on the sample, achieving low photobleaching and low phototoxicity, so spinning disk confocal is very suitable for long-term dynamic imaging of living cells.

IMARIS Multi-dimensional Image Analysis Guide

IMARIS interactive multi-dimensional microscopy image analysis software is commonly used for 2D/3D/4D/multi-channel and other multi-dimensional image display, rendering, and interactive analysis. It can visualize and analyze imaging data from most microscope manufacturers, including widefield fluorescence microscopes, laser scanning confocal microscopes, spinning disk confocal microscopes, multiphoton fluorescence microscopes, super-resolution fluorescence microscopes, electron microscopes, CT, MRI, and more.
