Most quotations that take a week take a week because two or three facts were missing at the start. This is the list that closes them in a day. A drawing is the fastest route. If there is no drawing, a sample works: we measure it and confirm the dimensions in writing before any tooling is cut, because a dimension agreed after the die exists is a cost rather than a question. A photo with a ruler in frame is better than a description, and a description of what the part does is better than nothing. Then the four numbers that decide the price: material and thickness, quantity per order and per year, the date the parts have to be at your line, and the tolerance that actually matters — usually the appearance surface, not every hole. Annual volume matters more than order size, because it decides whether tooling is amortised or charged once. Two more items remove most of the follow-up questions. Packing: panels per stack, interleaved or not, edge protection, and whether the carton has to match a line-side presentation. Inspection: whether you need batch records only, or test reports per lot for an audit. Send those and the answer comes back as a process recommendation, not just a price — stamped or formed, pre-painted or painted after forming, and where the cost sits in each.
