Shutters are the only window covering that becomes part of the building. Fitted to the reveal, they add a solid layer of insulation, a permanent architectural line and, in most markets, resale value.
We make panels in FSC basswood for dry rooms and aluminium-core PVC for bathrooms and coastal homes. Frames are cut to your recess — L, Z or T profile — and every panel is test-hung before it is packed.

Measuring made simple
Shutters are made to the recess, so measurement is the whole job. Take width and height at three points and note any out-of-square reveal.
Width
Top, middle and bottom of the recess — give us all three.
Height
Left, centre and right — give us all three.
Depth
Recess depth plus the frame profile you want (L, Z or T).

Looking after your shutter
Maintenance
- Dust louvres with a microfibre cloth or a vacuum brush.
- Wipe PVC panels with a damp cloth; no special products needed.
- Twice a year, check hinge screws and tilt rods.
- Keep basswood away from direct water — buff dry if splashed.

Which material for a bathroom?
The aluminium-core PVC shutter. It is fully waterproof, will not swell at the edges, and carries a 10-year guarantee.
How long is the lead time?
15–20 days in production after size and colour approval, plus transit. Hinged panels are the quickest configuration.
Can shutters fit tilt-and-turn windows?
Yes. We frame to the window itself with no-drill brackets where the reveal is too shallow.
Do shutters block much light?
Closed louvres block most direct light; the frame and hinges leave small gaps. For full darkness, add a blackout roller behind.
Can I match my existing paint?
Send a RAL, NCS or a painted sample and we spray panels to match, with a test panel for approval.
Are they suitable for a bay window?
Yes — we cut posts and mitred returns to your angles, and supply a plan drawing for approval first.
