GH4169 high-temperature alloy
GH4169 (Inconel 718) is the most widely used Ni-Cr-Fe based precipitation-strengthened nickel-based superalloy. It relies on nano-coherent γ'' (Ni₃Nb) as the main phase and γ' (Ni₃AlTi) as the auxiliary dual-phase precipitation strengthening, combined with Cr and Mo solid solution strengthening. It offers long-term stable service at 650°C and a short-term limit of 750°C. Within a wide temperature range from -253°C (cryogenic) to 650°C, it exhibits ultra-high tensile strength, creep resistance, high-temperature fatigue resistance, and oxidation/corrosion resistance. GH4169 powder prepared by the PREP (Plasma Rotating Electrode Process) has the advantages of high sphericity, low oxygen impurities, few hollow/satellite particles, uniform particle size, and good flowability, making it perfectly suitable for SLM (Selective Laser Melting), electron beam additive manufacturing, laser cladding, and HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) processes. It can integrally form lightweight complex components such as turbine disks, blisks, and complex cooling casings that are difficult to manufacture by traditional forging. This alloy is the preferred material for core rotating parts in aircraft engines and heavy-duty gas turbines, and is also widely used in nuclear power, petrochemical, aerospace rocket high-temperature load-bearing components, and high-end fasteners.
Good creep resistance · High temperature fatigue · Additive manufacturing
Process Advantages
High sphericity ≥90%: Vacuum rotating electrode atomization technology, excellent sphericity, very few satellite particles, uniform and dense powder spreading
Hollow rate ≤0.1%: Plasma rotating electrode atomization technology, very few hollow powders, dense and pore-free components
Excellent corrosion resistance: excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and non-oxidizing environments
Low oxygen and nitrogen content: oxygen content <500ppm, nitrogen content <40ppm, reducing the oxygen content of formed parts
Excellent mechanical properties: outstanding high-temperature endurance strength, creep resistance, and high-temperature oxidation and corrosion resistance
