288 core is the standard for metro core and large trunk splice points. Choose 576 core only for very high-density central office cross-connects or long-haul landing stations with massive fiber counts.

Yes. The horizontal type is designed for wall or floor mounting in manholes and handholes. The dome type is typically pole- or aerial-mounted.
